U.S. markets recover from steep losses

CLEVELAND, July 24 (UPI) -- Ohio's Nacco Industries Inc. said Monday it will spin off its Hamilton Beach/Proctor-Silex appliance business, which will then merge with Applica Inc.
Upon completion of the two-step move, the newly formed entity will be the largest public U.S. company focused on small electric household appliances and be known as Hamilton Beach Inc., based in Richmond, Va.
HBI, which will trade on the New York Stock Exchange, will have estimated yearly revenues of about $1.1 billion and own such brands as Black & Decker, Hamilton Beach, Proctor Silex, eclectrics, Traditions, Windmere, TrueAir, LitterMaid, Hamilton Beach Commercial and Belson.
