U.S. markets recover from steep losses

WALTHAM, Mass., June 29 (UPI) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has authorized a final $12 million settlement of an investigation of Raytheon Co.
The SEC probe concerned Raytheon's disclosures and accounting practices, primarily related to its Raytheon Aircraft Co. commuter aircraft business, during the period 1997-2001.
Raytheon said Thursday it had not admitted or denied wrongdoing and will pay a $12 million penalty.
