TEWKSBURY, Mass., June 27 (UPI) -- The U.S. Navy let a $218 million subcontract to Raytheon Co. for the electronic systems and integration on three new LPD 17-class expeditionary warships.
The contract extends Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems' current role as the ship electronic systems integrator for the LPD 17 class, the U.S. Navy's newest fleet of expeditionary warfare ships, Raytheon said Tuesday.
Raytheon, which is based in Massachusetts, had 2005 sales of $21.9 billion.
