U.S. markets recover from steep losses

JEJU ISLAND, South Korea, June 6 (UPI) -- South Korea and North Korea agreed Tuesday on an economic pact that includes Seoul's support for North Korea's light industries.
The nine-point agreement, which came at the end of four days of talks, included a statement that South Korea would give $80 million of support to North Korea's impoverished shoe, garment, soap and mining industries, Yonhap reported.
However, the aid depends on Pyongyang reviving canceled cross-border railway tests.
