Nucor to build fourth U.S. factory

CHARLOTTE, N.C., May 18 (UPI) -- Nucor Corp, of Charlotte, N.C., plans to build its fourth U.S. factory for making metal building systems and parts.

The $27 million facility will have an annual capacity of approximately 45,000 tons and employ about 200 people, Nucor said Thursday. A specific location has yet to be announced.

Nucor currently has building systems facilities in Indiana, South Carolina and Texas that have a combined annual capacity of more than 145,000 tons.
