SEOUL, May 15 (UPI) -- South Korean prosecutors plan to indict the scandal-plagued head of Hyundai Motor Co.

Authorities said they expect to file charges Tuesday against Chung Mong Koo, who was arrested last month in an alleged slush fund, embezzlement and misappropriation of corporate funds debacle, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Prosecutors also are investigating possible irregularities in the transfer of assets from Chung to his 35-year-old son Chung Eui Sun, president of Hyundai affiliate Kia Motors Corp.

Meanwhile, pathologists were determining the cause of death of Park Suk An, a retired bureau director general of the Seoul Metropolitan Government, whose body was found floating in a reservoir.

Park had previously worked in the department that had influence over decisions about construction permits for corporations like Hyundai Motor, which built a number of facilities in recent years to accommodate its considerable expansion.
