U.S. markets recover from steep losses

BENTONVILLE, Ark., April 14 (UPI) -- Wal-Mart Stores Inc. won't sell guns at about one-third of its U.S. stores, a change described by the Arkansas-based discounter as a marketing move.
The removal of various long guns from about 1,000 stores is intended to bring merchandise into line with what customers want, ABC News reported Friday.
The decision on whether to discontinue gun sales will be made store by store. Wal-Mart has about 1,900 super centers and 1,200 discount centers spread around all 50 states.
