NEW YORK, April 12 (UPI) -- Futures traders Wednesday sold off energy commodities on the New York Mercantile Exchange, resulting in modest price declines.
Prices for high-quality crude oil for May delivery were off 36 cents to $68.62 per barrel.

Natural gas also fell 36 cents, closing at $6.862 per million Btu.
Gasoline rose nearly 4 cents to settle at $2.0911 per gallon, and heating oil gained 1.91 cents to end the session at $1.9746 per gallon.
