Ford recalls Mustang Cobras

DEARBORN, Mich., April 11 (UPI) -- Ford Motor Co. is recalling nearly 20,000 Mustang Cobra vehicles in North America to fix the accelerator pedal.

On some of the approximately 18,262 vehicles being recalled, the rear surface of the pedal may catch on the underlying carpet, Ford said Tuesday.

To correct this condition, Ford dealers will install a shield over the cutout in the carpet, behind the accelerator pedal, to prevent the pedal from catching on the carpet.
