U.S. markets recover from steep losses

MINNEAPOLIS, April 4 (UPI) -- Minneapolis-based Regis Corp. said Tuesday it bought a chain of 105 beauty salons, most of them in Ohio and four other states.
The salons operate under the trade names Famous Hair, Chicago Hair and Hair Inc. They are expected to add $34 million in annualized revenue.
Regis owns or has franchised 11,211 worldwide locations, which include 11,086 beauty salons, 90 hair restoration centers and 35 beauty schools.
The value of the acquisition was not disclosed.
