U.S. markets recover from steep losses

NEW YORK, March 31 (UPI) -- A.C. Nielsen, an Internet and media researcher, says California-based Google is repelling search engine competitors.
During February, Google garnered 48.5 percent of all search-engine activity. Yahoo! drew 22.5 percent of online searches, while MSN accounted for 10.7 percent of such activity, Nielsen said Thursday. AOL and My Way Search rounded out the top five search providers with 6.6 and 2.7 percent of searches, respectively.
Search share among these five providers has remained relatively flat since
January, with all providers gaining or losing less than 1 percentage point.
