U.S. markets recover from steep losses

MADISON, Wis., Feb. 27 (UPI) -- Leading online retailer Amazon.com Inc. said Monday it was buying Shopbop.com, a Wisconsin-based clothing retailer.
The deal, terms of which were not disclosed, gives Amazon products from more than 75 designers including Marc Jacobs, Juicy Couture and True Religion.
Founded in 1999 as a single brick-and-mortar store, the Shopbop.com site sells a wide array of apparel, accessories and shoes to consumers around the world, Amazon said.
Shopbop.com will continue to operate as a stand-alone site.
