DETROIT, Dec. 30 (UPI) -- The University of Michigan will stop selling Coca-Cola Co. (NYSE:KO) beverages on its three campuses in response to reports that the company acts unethically.

Students have complained that Coke violates human rights and engages in hazardous environmental practices in its Colombia and India operations, the Detroit News said Friday.

In response the university plans to stop selling Coke beverages Sunday when it suspends more than a dozen contracts worth $1.4 million.
