Ex-employee allegedly sold trade secrets

HARRODSBURG, Ky., Oct. 21 (UPI) -- A former Corning Inc. employee in Kentucky has been charged with selling industrial secrets to a company in Taiwan.

The Lexington Herald-Leader reports that Jonathan Sanders of Lawrenceburg, a former employee at the company's plant in Harrodsburg, was arrested by the FBI this week. He allegedly passed on information on how Corning makes liquid crystal display glass to PicVue Electronics Ltd.

Corning announced that it has reached a settlement with PicVue in which the company agreed not to use any illegally obtained information and to reimburse Corning for any losses it suffered.
