Abu Dhabi to get two new steel plants

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- Al Nasser Industrial Enterprises of the United Arab Emirates will build two steel plants with a combined annual capacity of 450,000 metric tons.

The ANIE plants, expected to be on stream by 2007, will be built in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi.

The two manufacturing plants will have 300 employees and utilize natural gas as a primary power source, company officials said Monday.
