BOMBAY, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- India's Tata Motors said Thursday it would explore with Italy's Fiat SpA options for making and selling cars.

The companies agreed to "analyze the feasibility of cooperation, across markets, in the area of passenger cars that would encompass development, manufacturing, sourcing and distribution of products, aggregates and components," Tata said.

Tata said its deal with Fiat resembled similar ventures with PSA Peugeot Citroen, Suzuki and Ford Motor Co., the Economic Times reported.
