SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 24 (UPI) -- Intel Corp. has unveiled its next-generation microprocessor during a presentation at a San Francisco trade show.
The server chips, which were demonstrated at the Intel Developer Forum, will come in three versions and be available in the second half of next year, the San Jose (Calif.) Mercury News said Wednesday.

Each chip will have two processors so it can do more work without overheating. This means consumers will get desktop computers that can handle multiple tasks at the same time, like playing a movie while editing a video, or smaller laptops that have longer battery life.
The chip's design has its roots in Intel's Pentium M laptop chips.
