NEW YORK, May 20 (UPI) -- New York state prosecutors presented evidence Friday to a grand jury investigating possible criminal conduct by leaders of American International Group Inc.
The grand jury, which was evaluating presentations by lawyers for New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer, could indict one or more people, the Wall Street Journal said.

AIG itself is not a criminal target, the newspaper said.
Former AIG Senior Executive Joseph Umansky has testified before the grand jury.
Meanwhile, Spitzer's office and the New York State Insurance Department continue to draft a civil complaint against the insurance giant.
