Paymentech to deal Gulf Oil card payments

DALLAS, May 18 (UPI) -- Gulf Oil Ltd. of Chelsea, Mass., Wednesday signed a credit card processing contract with Paymentech of Dallas.

Gulf Oil distributes motor fuels through 2,000 gas stations nationwide, and Paymentech will be handling the company's electronic payment settlement processing system. Gulf handles about 46 million credit card transactions a year totaling $1 billion.

Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.
