SANTA ROSA, Calif., Dec. 31 (UPI) -- TrimTabs.com of Santa Rosa, Calif., said Friday investors added about $3.71 billion to stock-based mutual funds during the week ended Wednesday.

In the previous week, the same funds had inflows of about $3.17 billion.

Domestic stock funds recorded inflows of about $1.6 billion, compared with inflows of about $2.7 billion the prior week, while international stock funds saw inflows of about $2.1 billion. The prior week, these funds had inflows of $ 470 million.

Bond funds had outflows of $593 million, compared with outflows of $930 million the prior week.

Hybrid funds, which mix stocks and bonds, saw inflows of $670 million, up from inflows of $612 million the prior week.

TrimTabs tracks daily flows of 90 fund families that have about 15 percent of all equity-fund assets. TrimTabs then regresses those numbers by sector to estimate total flows for all equity funds.
