DETROIT, Oct. 20 (UPI) -- The General Motors Corp. announced Wednesday it will slash 900 jobs next year as demand for trucks dwindles.
The auto manufacturer said the jobs will be cut at its pickup truck plant in Pontiac, Mich., which will reduce the number of positions there by 20 percent. The company said some workers may be relocated to other plants.
