Iraq gets $60M to build schools

WASHINGTON, Oct. 13 (UPI) -- The World Bank has granted $60 million to help Iraq build and repair schools across the country.

The money will be given to the Iraqi finance ministry to build more than 100 schools and repair 140 existing primary and secondary schools.

The school-building effort is complemented by another World Bank project to print and distribute textbooks for Iraq's upcoming school year.
