AMMAN, Jordan, Aug. 16 (UPI) -- Jordanian exports to Israel increased in the first half of 2004 despite resistance by Jordanians to normalize ties with the Jewish state, reports said Monday.
Official figures released by Jordan's General Statistics Department said the volume of exports increased by 31.9 percent from $39.7 million in the first half of 2003 to $52.4 million in the same period this year.

The bulk of Jordan's exports to Israel consist of readymade clothing manufactured in the kingdom's industrial zone, in addition to fruits and vegetables, marble and sand.
