PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 28 (UPI) -- Southwest Airlines, the nation's largest discount airline, announced Tuesday it will start service at Philadelphia International Airport by next spring.

KYW News said Charles Isdell, the city's aviation director, termed Southwest's decision to come to Philadelphia the biggest change at the airport in his lifetime.

Southwest Airlines is known for its prompt service, low fares, and the absence of both meals and reserved seating.
