Snack mix recalled

MASPETH, N.Y., March 13 (UPI) -- Advance Food International Inc. Wednesday recalled 14-ounce bags of Chin Chin Snack Mix because they may contain undeclared cashews and almonds that could post a serious health hazard to people with sensitivities.

The snack mix was distributed to retail stores in New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, North Carolina and Virginia.

No illnesses have been associated with the product.

The recall was initiated as a result of routine field sampling by food inspectors from the New York Department of Agriculture and Markets. Consumers may return the packages to place of purchase for a full refund or call 718-482-0123 for more information.
