Announcer: And at the north pole the steel snout of a submarine pokes through the ice and brings new life to that frozen top of the world.

Unknown Speaker: "Not this is a scene I got, we are on the north pole surface on one of the surface at the north pole at 28 degree Fahrenheit, the weather is fine and clear, sun shine."

Announcer: Before the sea dragon left the north pole the crew shook some of the tension of the long voyage by scrambling over the ice in a game of baseball.

As man probed the depths of the seas others sent satellite to the frenzies of space. Echo 1 a communications device beamed this message from its distant orbit.

Unknown Speaker: "United States will continue to make... to the world the scientific information acquired from this and other experiments in its programs of safe exploration."
