Tennessee 80, Iowa 68

HONOLULU, Dec. 29 -- Tony Harris scored 20 points Friday night as fifth-ranked Tennessee defeated No. 22 Iowa, 80-68, to advance to the championship game of the Rainbow Classic.

Tennessee (12-1) will play Hawaii or St. Louis in Saturday's title game.

A 15-0 run in the first half helped the Volunteers to a 33-22 lead at the break. Tennessee used an 11-1 run to open the second half, extending to a 21-point cushion.

The Hawkeyes closed to within 65-57 with 3:27 to play, but Tennessee scored six of the next nine points to keep Iowa at bay.

Ron Slay scored 16 points and Jon Higgins grabbed seven rebounds as the Volunteers won two games at this holiday tournament for the first time.

Reggie Evans had 19 points and 10 rebounds and Brody Boyd scored 12 points for Iowa (10-2).
